This is Modern Country!
I am so excited to be “officially” sharing my first fabric line with you!
Modern Country is a fresh presentation of reproduction fabrics, with prints and colours firmly rooted in the last quarter of the 19th C. It includes wonderful spring blues and spring greens, cheddar (one of my favourite colours), lively pinks and a rich dark charcoal-brown. I wanted to provide reproduction colours that are often hard to find (you repro lovers know the ones I mean … they are the ones missing from our stashes!) and I wanted it to be a palette that will also appeal to the modern quilter.
I was inspired by the modern farmhouse …. fresh white washed walls and a big comfy chair to curl up in with a quilt, a pitcher of daisies on a sunsoaked table beside you and the curtain rustling as the breeze drifts across a field of flowers through the open window.
“Springtime” is the embodiment of everything Modern Country is about. Using the softer colours in the line, I think this quilt would look smashing on a little girls bed. You can find the free pattern here on the Windham Fabrics website.
To celebrate Modern Country, I am having a giveaway. Three lucky people will each win a fat quarter bundle of all 31 fabrics! Giveaway closes midnight EST on March 19 … National Quilting Day.
To enter, leave a comment below and tell me which colour from the line is your favourite.
Can’t wait to see if you win one of the fat quarter packs …
you can find the fabrics online at
or
- Update April 3. Julie Kovach just let me k is that you can still find a complete fat quarter bundle at The Quilted Castle. Thank you Julie!

Patti, thank you so very much. It is interesting how the colours play off of one another. Glad you stopped by.
Definitely the cheddar range; mix in some red and you’ve got a great start for a quilt. Congrats on your line. Exciting for you!
Sharon, thank you so much for your kind words. Cheddar and red … makes me want to run for my appliqué scissors and get started! Glad you stopped by.
Congrats on your lovely fabric line! I have already bought a piece of the pink with gold/orange stripe. Love it so much that it must be my favorite.:)
Oh Audrey, thank you for your lovely words. So glad you like it and that you stopped by!
Oh THE blues are great, they have different oppertunity”s . The orange color is also fantastic, and the green ifabric is also great. IT is hard to make a choise for the best color , they are all together very coole. No I can not make a choise they fit together
Hi Rommy, Thank you for your kind words and enthusiasm for the line. So glad you stopped by.
I am not usually a pink gal, both those pinks and oranges together? They lift my heart! This is a beautiful collection and I absolutely love your palette. Pure joy and a real crispness to the overall feel.
How do I make my keyboard shout the enthusiasm of Hi Becky! So nice to see your name pop up. Could picture you right away sitting behind me sewing. It was so lovely to meet you at BIQR all those years ago. Thank you for your kind words. Really glad you stopped by!
It’s hard to pick, but that one red is calling me. It seems to want to bring those black and whites along. But they all could have a grand time in some string circles I’m working on. Kudos to you! Lovely collection!
Sarah thank you so much. And you had me at “string circles” … oh how I love strings. Great that you stopped by.
Congratulations….Love the colours and scale of the fabrics…..can’t wait to see them. Looking forward to hearing you st yhqg next week.
Hi Lynne and thank you for your kind words. Looking forward to meeting you next week too!
I’m glad to see that you are feeling better! I love the quilts you have made with your fabrics. They remind me of a fresh Spring breeze. If I had to pick just one colour as my favourite from all of the wonderful colours, it would be orange! Happy Quilting Day!
Hi Gail. Thank you so much for your kind words. I love your description. So glad you stopped by. Happy Quilting Day back to you too!
Red is my favorite color, but I love cheddar too!
So hard to choose isn’t Diane. Thank so much for stopping by.
I love, love, love your collection! Congratulations! My favourites are the blues and greens. I can’t pick between them. 🙂
Thank you Sarah!!! I know blue and green one of my favourites too. Reminds me of sitting on the dock at Down Cottage stitching my grandmother’s flower garden quilting those colours while the kids were jumping in the lake. So glad you stopped by!
Love the new fabric line. The cheddars and blues are my favs. Refreshing blend of colors in this line. They are going to make the dark repros sing! Thanks for the chance to win.
Hi Karen! Thank you for your kinds words and yes, let’s mix them in with those dark colours. So glad you stopped by.
Mmmmm cheddar… It’s a really lovely collection. Congrats!
Hi Melissa, so nice to see your name pop up! And thank you for your very kind words!
Not a color, but the tiny prints in the entire Line. I am working the “365 Challenge”this year, so I’m focused these days on the tiniest prints in reproduction colors. Best of luck with your fabric line. It’s smashing!
Hi Bernadette. Thank you so very much for your very kind words. And wishing you all the best on the “365 Challenge” … Bravo! So glad you stopped by.
love your new and first fabric collection. the darkest green is my favourite but they are all quite lovely.
Julie, thank you so very much. That particular green is the one that started it all in this collection. So glad you stopped by.
Wow, what a beautifu collection, congratulations. All the Colors just sing together, very difficult to choose a favourite. The pink to red selection is so pretty but then again those blues….all the best to you.
Hi Lucie, Thank you so much for your very kind words. So hard to choose isn’t it! All the best to you too and thank you for stopping by.
Love the cheddar and pink.
Hi Pattye. You are not alone. That combination seems to be speaking to a lot of people. Thanks for stopping by.
They are fabulous. Love the oranges. I am sorry I can’t make the York Heritage workshop next week. Something has come
Up with my Mom’s health.
Margaret I am so sorry to hear about your mom not doing well and that you can’t make it. Will miss having you in class. Thank you for stopping by and so glad the cheddar is singing to you!
The cheddars–all the way!
Barbara … yes! A quilter after my own heart. Thanks so much for stopping by.
So glad to hear you have recovered from your long health journey……..my favourite is the greens but all are lovely
Hi Bev. Thank you for your kind words about my recovery and the line. And I am glad you like the green! Thank you for stopping by.
I love all of the colors but cheddar has to be my favorite! Your Springtime quilt looks so fresh and ready for spring.
Hi Mary Jo! Thank you so much for your kind words. I am so ready for spring here as I am sure you are in Michigan! So glad you stopped by.
I love the low-volume backgrounds — I can never get enough!
Aunt Marti, I agree … always need more good backgrounds. Thank you so much for stopping by.
It’s the blues for me, if I have to pick! Thanks for the giveaaway.
You are very welcome Sandra. Thank you for stopping by.
Those colors are fabulous, I love the whole collection. Can’t wait to meet you at the Grand Hotel in May where I am taking one of your classes.
Arley, will be so lovely to meet you at the Grand Hotel too! Thank you for stopping by and for your very kind words!
So glad to hear you are on the mend. Having a daughter who suffered traumatic brain injury the road back can be arduous. Best wishes to you.
Cheery fabrics that call for a springtime project. Very hard to pick a fave, but will have to go with Blue’s. Thank you for providing our art another wonderful collection.
Hugs,
Cathy
Hi Cathy! Thank you so, so much for your kind words about my recovery and the fabric line. Hugs to you too. (Gosh I miss BIQR!)
Only one….ok then green, because I’ve had such a hard time find greens for my stash and these are perfect! Gorgeous line of fabrics Mary Elizabeth.
Oh Muffie, aren’t I cruel! I do love that green colour. (Glad I am not the one having to pick just one!). Hugs to you.
Cheddar (and Red)
Hi Linda. Love that combination together … especially in appliqué quilts. Yum! Thanks for stopping by.
The pink and orange combo speak to me. I have just the spot for that stripe. *✿*´`•.¸¸. ☆ ♪ ♫ ♪ -Congratulations ♪ ♫ ♪•.¸.☆*✿* *✿*´`•.¸¸.☆*✿*´`•*´¯`•.¸¸.☆ on this collection.
I agree Jean, isn’t that strip delicious! So glad it sparked immediate inspiration for you. Thanks for stopping by!
The cheddar prints are really lovely but I must admit that I am also partial to the blues and greys. Cheddar can be difficult to find so I would probably go with cheddar.
Hi Karen. I agree the greys and blues make a wonderful combo don’t they. But we could always throw some cheddar in there too! Thanks for stopping by.
Hi Mary Elizabeth, I’m so happy to read of your return to health, what a long slow recovery! Love the new fabric line, I think I’m in a green frame of mind today since it feels like spring is on the way, though I really love the blue ones too.
Hi Flo. Miss seeing you at BIQR. Thank you for your kind words. And I am so happy you like the green. Spring will come … yes! Hugs.
While I love the periwinkle and soft green lace medallions, I can’t see them without my favorite tiny multi colored flowers. What a soft but joyously happy quilt that would make. So glad you are BACK
Melinda … thank you for your lovely comment. I am so glad you stopped by.
Hi,
Your fabrics are very pretty. The blue color is the most outstanding to me….I live on a farm in the Midwest and the blue skies “speak” loudly to me. Your blue captures those moments to me, hanging out the laundry-yes, I still do that and love it!
Okay Rebecca … you are Modern Country! Thank you for your comments. I am so glad you stopped by!
Congrats on the collection!!!
i love your whites, but for a favourite color I’d have to pick the cheddars!!!
Hi Loretta. Those cheddars are really speaking to people. I love the whites as great background colours. The one print is not actually a pin dot but a little square!
I find myself really drawn to those clear blues. I can see them in a quilt already! Of course, the entire set would make a totally awesome and colorful design. Congratulations on a wonderful set of fabrics!
Thank you Sandy! So glad the line has sparked such an immediate and clear vision for you. Great of you to stop by.
Blue….all are beautiful!!
Hi Hazel! Lovely to see your name pop up. Thanks for stopping by!
Cheddar for sure! Beautiful line across the board!
Lynn … wow. Thank you! So glad you stopped by.
Love your fabric and your blog!
Oh Diane, thank you! So kind of you to say. Glad you stopped by.
What a beautiful, fresh collection. Perfect for this dreary time of year. My favorite color, only because you are making me choose, is cheddar. Although I really like all of the prints and colors.
Patti, thank you so much. Your words warm my heart because that is exactly what I was aiming for … fresh! Sorry to make you choose! So glad you stopped by!
Love the fresh pink and blues
You know these fabrics well Margaret!! Thanks for the wonderful quilting! Hugs
I LOVE the Modern Country Flower.
That one is a sweet one, isn’t it Dawn. Thank you for stopping by!
Modern Country Stripes in Blue
That is a good one isn’t it! Thank you for stopping by.
I love your new collection and it really is hard to pick my favourite colourway!! I’d have to settle with my favourite colour: purple. Thanks!!
Michele you are so very welcome. Thank you for your favourite colour vote and for stopping by!
OH MY! Which one? Which one? Will have to be the greens. Yes, oh wait…maybe the blues. Yep! Definitely the blues. Well…black for sure! They would go great with what I have… Thank you for the give away!!!
Tammy you are very welcome. Thank you for your enthusiasm and for stopping by!
Love the pink and the green but if I would have to choose only one I guess I would choose the green. Lovely fabric!
Shauna, haven’t I been mean to make you pick just one! Thank you so much for your kinds words and for stopping by!
Love the blues in fact love them all. Glad you are feeling better!
Thank you so much Gina. It’s hard to pick isn’t it. so glad you like the blue! Thanks for stopping by.
They are all beautiful, but if I had to pick one color, I would pick blue. Thanks for the chance to win some!
Thank you Deb for your kind words. So glad that you like the blue and that you stopped by.
I love the greens
Hi Jo-Anne. Thanks for stopping by. So glad you like the greens!
I love all of the colors, but I think my favorite is the black. Beautiful fabric!!!!
Hi Cindi. I love that colour too. It is a very very dark charcoal with deep brown undertones. It is wonderful and rich and so late 1800’s! Thanks so much for stopping by.
I love the cheddar, but also love the blues. Thank you Mary Elizabeth from Sue in New Zealand.
Hi Sue. Thank you for stopping by. So glad the colours are speaking to you! (It’s so hard to choose, isn’t it!)
Like you the cheddar is my favorite! Lovely collection. Thanks for the chance to win!
Thank you Ellie. Cheddar seems to be really resonating with people. So glad you stopped by.
Beautiful fabrics. I especially like the quilts you posted. There’s something so lovely about quilts with white backgrounds and soft traditional colors that makes me smile.
Hi Deb. Thank you so much for your kind words. I am so glad the quilts spoke to you. So glad you stopped by.
It’s a tough choice between the blue and that golden orange! They are all lovely!
Hi Carolyn. Thank you so much! I do seem to be setting people with a tough task in having to choose only one! So glad you stopped by.
Loved the blue ones!
Thank you Fernanda for stopping by!
I love your fresh take on this fabric line my favorite is the Modern Country Doilies in green. You are reviving a great past time. Thank you for the giveaway.
Janie, thank you! That particular fabric is actually one of the ones that started it all. So glad you stopped by.
I love the pink in this collection but it is all great! Would love to win!
Thank you Linda. Those pinks are so sweet aren’t they. So glad you stopped by.
What a wonderful colour wheel. I like the greens especially the one that features white tattered flowers.Well done.
Thank you so much Anne. That green one is sweet isn’t it. So glad you stopped by.
Congrats on the line and your year of recovery. Some of us have to learn those life lessons the hard way, don’t we. So glad you are back in the swing of it!
I LOVE the whole collection but my heart sings with the Cheddar prints and I swoon just a bit looking at them!
Deb thank you so much! Cheddar is always so swoon worthy! Thank you for stopping by.
What a lovely line!!! I love the green!
Thank you Lynda! So glad you loved the green and that you stopped by.
The green one! Love it
Spring will come and until then, yes, let’s embrace the green. So glad you stopped by Daniela!
All the colors are fantastic. I have leanings toward the greens to blues to red, but they all blend together so well. Thank you for great designs and congratulations on your recovery.
Judith thank you for your kind words about my designs and my recovery. So appreciated! Thanks for stopping by.
Love the cheddars. I can’t use enough if them in my quilts. They add such a bright, unexpected sparkle in quilts.
Karen, you have got that exactly right. Really proved that point in the quilt from the second book “Pumpkin Peel” So glad you stopped by.
I like the black and white. but the whole collection is amazing
Aw Connie, thank you! I am so glad you stopped by.
The greens are really lovely!
Hi Diana. Those greens make us think of spring and how it is just around the corner, right! So glad you stopped by.
Great fabrics. I really love the pink and orange combinations. Thanks for the chance to win!
Sharon, that is one of my favourite all-time combinations. Posted a floral arrangement on Instagram that I did the other day in just those colours. So glad you stopped by.
Brights of all shades make me feel so happy!! Use them to make some quick appliquéd Easter tea towels!!
What a great idea Diane. So glad you stopped by.
The cheddary prints would work really well with my C+S stash!
Oh yes it would Teri! So glad you stopped by.
I like all of them, but my favorite is the Doilies in Green pattern and color. It reminds me of the 30s green I see a lot of.
Hi Nancy. I know that 30’s green and spring green were really close cousins. The green from the late 1800’s has a bit more blue and less white in it than the 30’s green. Both are yummy though aren’t they! Thanks for stopping by.
I’m a sucker for anything orange. Though I truly love the whole collection.
Hi Bess. Thanks so much for your compliment. I love a good cheddar coloured fabric too. It adds such punch to a scrap quilt. Thanks for stopping by.
I like the blues, especially the Lace Medallions.
Hi Laura. I think those medallions are so striking against the more intense backgrounds. I used it in my quilt “Sidebar” as the focal fabric in the cheddar colour. What a hard time I had choosing which of the medallion colours to use. Thanks for stopping by.
Congratulations on the the fabric line – it is fabulous. They all look so beautiful. If I had to choose one particular colour it would be the black/grey/white range. Nothing like that in “normal” reproduction fabrics out there.
So glad you like the dark charcoal-brown. When you see it in person you can really see the dark brown undertones. I found that colour in so many antique quilts I just had to use it in this line. Thanks for stopping by Joy!
Those blues are anything but blue! So happy looking… I love them!
That is what I love about the spring blues from the late 1800’s. They felt so happy. Thanks for stopping by.
I love everything the blue, which is odd, because it ‘so not one of my go to colours!
So glad you like the blue. Blue is definitely one of my go to colours! Thanks for stopping by Sue.
Modern Country Grid in Black….love them all, actually!
Shhh! Don’t tell the other fabrics, but that one is one of my favourites too! Thanks for stopping by Connie.
I love your new line! My favorite is cheddar! Nice shade to add to my collection! I would love to make a quilt with these!
Have a colorful spring!
Thank you
Melaine
Thank you Melaine. The last of the snow is just hanging around in the shadows here. Hopefully spring blooms will be here soon. Thanks for stopping by.
Lovely soft colors. Orange appeals to me..bright..fresh
Thank you Mary. I am glad you like the cheddar orange! Thanks for stopping by.
I think that orange is my favorite. It’s hard to pick just one favorite, though.
So glad it is not me having to answer this question! Thanks for stopping by Dawn.
I love all the colours but I work in black & white so they are my favourite.
Thank you El. Black and white quilts can be so dramatic and graphic. Thanks for stopping by.
Congratulations on your first fabric line , it looks awesome , favourite colour well that would be red, but I’m loving your blues:-)) thanks for the chance to win .
Thank you Cheryl. You are definitely allowed to like more than too! (I know I can’t really decide!) So glad you stopped by.
The grey plaid really caught my eye. Thanks for the chance to win.
The secret might be getting out but it is one of my favourites too! Thanks for stopping by Penny.
Love the blues! Great contrast between the prints, these would really fit in my stash. Springtime pattern is a must make. Thank you.
Oh Thank you Tamara. How sweet of you to say. Send pictures when you are finished Springtime! Thanks for stopping by.
Congratulations on your new fabric line! You must be thrilled! I love the cheddar fabrics in this group. They look yummy!
Thanks so much Lisa Marie. Yummy is such a good word for this colour! So glad you stopped by.
Cool you are doing the Orange color. My friends don’t use Orange but I think it is fun to throw in as a suprise!
Yes Carol! I enthusiastically and totally agree. Thanks so much for stopping by!
I love the pinks. Such a happy colour. But really, they all look lovely with the white background. Love it!
Julia, thank you so much. So glad you love the pinks. That sweet little bud print in the pink just about makes me faint with delight! So glad you stopped by.
Such a beautiful array of colors. My favorites are the pinks and red. I would love to win….you can never have enough fabric!
Hi Kris. Thank you so much for your kind words and for stopping by.
Love the red in the line because I love bright colors.
By the way…when I first pulled up this post and saw the bundle, my first thought was “she should be giving that bundle away..to me!” LOL! and then when I scrolled down I see that you’re giving away THREE bundles. How exciting! I DO hope the random generator pulls my name up!
Thanks you for the smile reading this Deb!
Hi Deb. I love that you are so decisive! Thanks so much for stopping by!
So glad you are doing better. I had the same thing happen except to avoid hitting my head I went straight down and ended up with a compression fracture of my L4 vertebrae. It took me around a year to recover. I watch my step now!
Thank you so much Deb and I am glad to hear that you are doing better too. We are both watching our footing now! Thanks for stopping by.
The mutifloral makes me feel cheerful.
Hi Mary, That one makes my heart sing too! Thanks for stopping by.
Love them all, but especially the greens! I am telling myself that if I win, I will finally learn how to quilt!! No more just admiring my sister (the Deb above who loves the red!!), but getting her to teach me how! 🙂
Hi Betty! Thank you! Yes, you must learn how to quilt. So glad you stopped by.
Favorite color – modern red doilies
Hi Caroline, so glad that red makes your heart sing. Thanks for stopping by.
These fabrics are beautiful! congratulations! There is something about the green that gets me, very pretty
Hi Kelly, Thank you so much. Nice to hear the green is speaking to you. Glad you stopped by.
It’s difficult to single out JUST ONE color, but if forced to do so, I would probably gravitate to green….. the color palette is simply gorgeous!
Thank you for the opportunity to win!
Hi Sue. So sorry to force you to choose just one. Thank you so much for your kind words and for stopping by!
I seriously love ALL the colors…. you’ve done well! 🙂
Sue, thank you so much. I am so glad you love the line. And thank you for stopping by!
I love the teal and black
Thank you Karen. So glad you stopped by.
Love all of them, but the spring greens are my favorites!
Hi Peggy. So glad you like the spring greens. Thank you for stopping by!
I love the collection. The patterns and colors place me by my grandmother’s side again, learning fancy work as a small child. They put me in mind of the box in my sewing room that contains pieces of wedding ring blocks that were begun by my great grandmother. Happiness, comfort, creativity. And which color I like best? The green.
Oh Constance what lovely, lovely memories. Thank you for sharing them with me and I am so flattered that my fabric line prompted you to think of them. And that green, isn’t it divine! So glad you stopped by.
Mary Elizabeth, these fabrics are all gorgeous. But cheddar is my very favorite. How exciting for you!
Hi Julie. Big hugs to you and thank you for your very kind words. You and me and cheddar forever!
This fabric line is fresh, crisp and new, yet still traditional. This is the start amid a new movement of fabric lines.
Kathy thank you for your support doesn’t say enough! Hugs to you and John
I like the blues!
Hi Hannah, so nice of you to stop by and so glad you like the blues!
Love the pinks- what a fun line! Congratulations!
Thanks so much Kate! So glad you like it. Thanks for stopping by.
always purple!
Thanks Teri! So glad you stopped by!
Cheddar and the light background. Congrats !
Merci beaucoup Beatrice! I love the pop that a bit of cheddar can bring to a project. Thanks for stopping by!
The greens are my favorites, but all are beautiful.
Pat thank you so much. I am glad you like them. Happy you stopped by too!
Oh love the greens and blues best
Sue, one of my other favourite combinations … blue and green. Thank you. So glad you stopped by.
I love the gold.
Holly so glad you love that colour! Thanks for stopping by.
love the green but all are pretty.
Thanks
Hi Leona. I think that green is speaking to a lot of people. We must all be hungry for spring. Thanks so much for stopping by.
I adore the blues.
Hi Emily. I can feel your love of the blue ones in your message. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Too hard to choose, I like the full line. What IS awesome, is how you take the time to respond to the comments posted here. So thoughtful. Enjoy your day!
Annette, thank you so much for ALL your kind words. I just love that you all are responding so wonderfully to the line. It warms my heart! You have a great day too!
Congratulations on a beautiful line 🙂 I love the darkest blue x
Hi Katy. thank you so much for the well wishes. That darkest blue is divine. I think it sets off the white wonderfully. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Love the soft greens! Just started following you on Bloglovin.
Hi Amy and yay! Thank you for following me. So glad you love the greens. Have a great rest of your day!
So very YUMMY! I can’t wait to see you at the Spring Needlework Seminar in May! Looking sooooooo forward to your classes
Sharon I am so looking forward to my classes in May too! Thank you for your kind words and for stopping by. See you before you know it!
I am so glad you are recovering. You have been an inspiration since I attended your workshop at the Textile Museum in Toronto.
I love your new line of fabrics especially the blues and neutrals.
Best, Rosemary
Hi Rosemary, so nice of you to say I have been an inspiration. All blushing here! And so glad you are loving the blue fabrics. All the best to you.
The greens caught my eye first- they are fresh and fun! Sometimes hard to find “good greens”- thanks! This is a beautiful collection!
Hi Sarah, thank you so much for your kinds words. I agree that “good greens” can be hard to find … glad I am helping out on that front. So glad you stopped by.
The blues are my favorites, I do tend to buy blues. I’m glad you included other colors that are not as common. The pinks and oranges are great!
Hi Lynn! Thank you for your kind words!! We call blue the family colour in our house! (if you are reading this comment and you are not Lynn! you have to check out her blog and fabulous work! http://thelittleredhen.typepad.com ).
I love the pink and orange stripe!
Hi Judy. That one has a special place in my heart too. Thanks so much for stopping by!
My favorite is the greens, although they are all so gorgeous and so complimentary to each other. Thank you so very much for the chance to win such a generous giveaway. Have an awesome day!
Hi Dawn, you are so generous with your words… thank you! You have an awesome day too and thanks for stopping by.
I love all the colours, but the blues look a jacaranda colour, which we only see in once a year here in Australia. Very special colour. Would live to win. Thanks. Penny.
Hi Penny … okay I read your comment and had to google jacaranda tree … oh my gosh what a spectacular vision. And that colour! You are so lucky to have a tree like that in Australia. Thank you so much for your kind words. So glad you stopped by (and I got to learn about the jacaranda tree)!
Love Love Love this collection! So excited to see it in person.
Hi Lynn Marie. Wow! Thank you! So glad you love it. Thanks so much for stopping by.
Love the colors and print in your collection. Multi Floral is a favorite – looking forward to spring flowers.
Hi Quilting Tangent. Yes, that one of all the fabrics is my very favourite. (but shhh … don’t tell the other fabrics.) Thank you for picking it. So glad you stopped by.
All of the line is beautiful, but I have to admit that I love the yellow/mustard/golds. They come and go during various years and collections, but are so good at making everything else pop.
Hi Betsy. You understand the pop! And cheddar is just the colour for the job. Thank you so much for your kind words and for stopping by!
It must be spring because the pinks are really attractive to me. But I have been looking for a black pindot. I will have to look for your fabrics in a store
Hi Kris. The pinks are full of life aren’t they. Thank you for your kinds words. You can get a closer look at the black pindot on either of the two websites I listed at the bottom of the post. It is actually a small black square and not a circle … just for a bit of a change. Thanks for stopping by!
I really like the blues the best! I usually like green, but the shades of the blue are just very pretty.
Hi Sarah. Thank you so much for your kind words. That spring blue has always spoken to me when I have seen it in antique quilts. So glad you stopped by.
I love the blue you’ve used! (I am partial to blues, but still, it’s lovely!) A very nice cornflower. I can see it with my stash of blues already!
Hi Summer. Yes that blue would like to be included in your stash!! Thanks you for your kind words. So glad you stopped by.
I am always ever to the blues no matter what I am picking ! Beautiful fabrics and congratulations on your fabric line . What an amazing prize to win x
Iain.ross30 at gmail dot com

Hi Sheryl! Gosh, thank you for your kind words. And you are very welcome. So glad you stopped by.
All the colors are beautiful, but I love all the golds. So glad you included so many in this line!
Thank you. So glad you dropped by and that you like all the cheddar golds.
Ohh Ahh! I love all the colors, especially those true blues. This collection is amazing in its wonderful colors and how they play together. Thanks for sharing some! I love the quilt too. You really captured a modern country look.
Pam, thank you!! So glad you love the colours and the quilt and that you stopped by.
I like at least one of each colorway, but probably blue is my favorite. 🙂
So hard to choose isn’t it Linda! It’s grey here today and I could use some of that blue in the sky! Thanks for stopping by.
I love them all and the prints. But the greens are my favorite! Congratulations and thank you!

Doris thank you! Great that you stopped by.
I love the blues. But I truly love the white with dots. If there’s a blue dot, that’s it. If not I’ll go with white with black dots.
Thank you Judy! Do you need some to incorporate into your small piece sampler?? Hugs!
Team cheddar all the way. Congratulations.
Only one response to that Sandra … Yes, team cheddar! Thank you so much for stopping by.
I am loving all those lovely greens. Great work and congrats!
Thank you Debby! Glad you love the greens. Great that you stopped by!
This looks like a really great line. I am always drawn to blues. I think it’s because I love the ocean. Congratulations and I hope it sells a lot.
Hi Chris. Thank you so much. So glad that you stopped by.
I have more greens than any colour in my stash of repros but 99% are dark. Some light and modern would be lovely to add to them.
Thank you Dorothy. I think you and I had the same collection of repro greens … mostly dark or that lovely bright poison green. So glad you stopped by.
Beautiful fabric line! My fav is the floral, and then how well all the fabrics play together!
Carol, thank you. I have a soft spot in my heart for that floral too! So glad you stopped by!
Those blues are just beautiful and would make a great quilt. What a wonderful collection!
Thank you Sandra! So glad you like the blues. Sounds like you have a vision in your head for them already. Great of you to stop by.
I’m in love with anything modern! What refreshing, lovely looking spring designs.
I love them all, how do you pick. I’ll pick any of the blues. I’ve been wanting to make a blue and yellow quilt. thank you for the chance
Hi Rebecca. A blue and yellow quilt would be grand. I made a blue, yellow and green quilt that you can find in the “Small Pieces Spectacular Quilts” Gallery section on my website. Thanks for stopping by.
All the colours are so pretty but my favourite is green. I especially love the mini bud fabric in green. Thank you for such a generous giveaway!
Linda, so glad you like that wee green floral. It is my daughter’s favourite too. Thanks for stopping by.

All those fabrics just make me happy! They are beautiful…I really like the green pinwheels. Reproduction is still modern to me.
Hi Amy. How lovely to hear that the fabrics make you happy! Thank you. So glad you stopped by.
Mary Elizabeth, I do love your new line! What beautiful fabrics you’ve put together! My favorites are the spring greens…perhaps it’s because we are on the brink of leaving winter behind here in Iowa to see spring bring forth the greens!
Kathy thank you!! Even though for some of us it has been a milder winter, I agree, I think we are all ready for some green. So good of you to stop by.
How exciting it must be to have your own fabric line! Way to go!
I love that pink and cheddar combination a lot. On the whole it is a great colour palette. They all look great with some really nice texture on some.
Good luck with line!
Charlotte, thank you so much! That pink and cheddar stripe makes my heart sing too. So glad you stopped by.
Congratulations on your fabric line. I love that you offer harder to find colors of repro prints. Those greens are just perfect! Thanks for the chance to win!
Thank you Sarah and you are very welcome. Glad you stopped by.
I really like that lone red…and the darkest blue! Thanks and God bless!
Thank you so much Rose. Glad you stopped by!
I love all the colors but I really like the greens
Hi Nancy. Thank you for stopping by. So glad you like the greens.
Oranges , always. I have to tell you that I’ve never paid attention to Repro’s until a friend recently introduced me to these beautys at our local quilt show. She encouraged me to see beyond the tiny little prints and what I thought was only pastel colors. We found many brights (my eyes always go to) and I’m forever in love now w/1920’s Repro’s. Thank you Mary Elizabeth, and it’s nice to meet you via Blog.
Hi Diane. Yeah to you for being open and to your friend for introducing you to historic designs. Nice to meet you too via Blog. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your story.
Funny how my fav color is ‘blue’ and I have never made a quilt that is just for me … in blue! Love Modern Country! It is absolutely beautiful! I am so glad that you are ‘coming back’. Nothing is worse than recovery from something that you don’t have any idea on how long, or what it takes. I was back to my sewing machine for a sew day yester… first time in a year for me. I went in for a simple thumb surgery and then the poop hit the fan. Still recovering and seeing a neurologist tomorrow. Aside from that, know that you have company in the recovery part. Things happen for a reason they say, but quieting the silent thoughts in your head is probably the hardest thing… patience is a word that truly takes on new meaning! Thanks for sharing and sending my most positive thoughts for continued recovery!
Hi Margo … you hit on so many true points. Thank you for sharing. And in all my years of quilting, and I love blue too! … I have only made two blue quilts. We are both going to have to change that for ourselves! More Blue! So glad you stopped by and best wishes for a continued uneventful recovery.
Mary Elizabeth- I like the blue stripes & black flower combo best, traditional with a new twist. Your whole line looks great. So glad your well again, hugs.
Hi Ebie! So nice to see your name pop up. And thank you for your kind words. Hugs to you too.
I’m favoring the lapis blue and spring green, but really hard to just pick one or two. Your new line would make a beautiful quilt.
Thank you Joanne. I know I asked a hard question!! So glad you stopped by.
All the fabrics are lovely. Greens are usually my favorite, but for some unknown reason, the blacks/grays are calling my name.:-)
Hi Carol. Isn’t it interesting sometimes how our taste changes a bit or how something else attracts us. Thank you for your kind words and for stopping by.
Love that dark royal blue – lovely!
Thank you Joanne. So glad you stopped by.
I love those blues and blacks. I’m very partial to blues and seem to have those colors in almost everything I make. i like how the golds pop agains the other colors.

Good morning Mary Elizabeth – lovely to meet you yesterday and spend almost the whole day in your company. I think I love the oranges best – not sure why, but I almost invariable burst into a smile when I see that colour … And polka dots … And plaid … And stripes … Ahhh, heck, lots of fabrics make me smile. I hope to run into you lots and get an opportunity for more classes taught by you. And your trunk show was stunning!
Jane I am blushing! Great fun to have you in class. We will have to see each other again as we prepare our study for our Phd and write the grant proposals. Shall you get in touch with Justin’s people or should I. Seriously I do hope to run into you again. Thank you for your kind, kind words. All the best.

Thank you Janet! I love your enthusiasm. So great of you to stop by!
Mary Elizabeth, I just discovered your blog and was saddened to hear the ordeal you’ve been through this year! What a horrible thing to go through and truly, it is sooooo easy to have that happen!!! A fall like that happens so fast! And then it makes us all aware of all the little things that we take for granted – like sewing. But to have your fabric line come out has to be such a high for you. It’s gorgeous. The red is my favorite! I can see it with those whites. Yum!!!!
Hi Kay! Thank you so much for your thoughts and words. You are so right that after something like I went through it changes lives perspective. I am so glad you like the fabric line and the red. Nice of you to stop by!

This is the first time I’ve been to your site! Beautiful line of fabrics, I’m partial to your reds!!!
What an amazing line of fabric! You have had a crazy year and it’s good to see you in good health. Concussions are scary to deal with. My children have suffered mild concussions and that has been quite an ordeal, so I CAN NOT imagine how difficult your hear has been. Congratulations on your success!
Susan, thank you so much for your kind words. So sorry to hear that your kids have had to go through any of what I went through. Thanks for stopping by!

Hi, Mary Elizabeth. I came to your posting from Bonnie Hunter’s blog. So happy to get to know you a little and looking forward to meeting you in person on Mackinac Island in May.

Hi Christine, Thank you for stopping by and letting me know that it is cheddar that you like. Looking forward to meeting you to on Mackinac Island. All the best.
Love the blues. I’m all about blue in everything – from my eyes to most of my clothes and into my quilts
My favorite color from this stunning selection is the spring green. It reinforces the rebirth, the fulfilled hope, the joy and excitement that come along when you watch the earth explode back into bloom after a long winter’s nap.
Wow! The green really spoke to you! Thanks for stopping by Jodi.

One a great fabric line! I love cheddar and so that is what I would choose. In truth, though, they are all beautiful and work so well together.
Thank you Frieda!
The colors are so pretty. They are what I call clear colors instead of the muddy colors I’m use to. I love the greens. This makes me feel happy! Thanks for the chance to win although I never do I enjoy the possibility.

Mary Elizabeth, what a lovely collection of fabrics! All of the colors are beautiful but if I have to choose – blues are my jam. I just found your blog via Bonnie Hunter and clicked on over. I read a few comments and sensed something very serious had happened and oh dear – such a year you have had! Life can turn on a dime and change everything. I am so glad that you had the will, luck, spirit, angel or what ever it was that you were able to get back into your house after your fall(so very cold!) AND for all of the days that followed. I read your ‘year anniversary’ post and had a few tears while reading about your gratefulness for each step of your remarkable recovery. Thank you for the chance to win!
Thank you Sherry for your very kind words and comments. hugs to you.
I always love blues. The whole collection is nice, too.

BLUE – BLUE just seems to go with everything
Love the new line, but I am really partial to those neutrals!!
Thank you Janet!
They are all so pretty. Normally I would say blue, but the orange is jumping out at me, probably because I don’t have much orange in my stash and would love to have more orange to add variety.
I am torn between the green and the pink, but I think the green wins by a smidge.

Hi Mary Elizabeth. Your fabrics are wonderful and so full of the lightness of spring. I love them all, but since I have to choose a favorite, I think it would be the lovely pinks. Wow Louise, I am touched that these fabrics sparked such lovely memories for you. So glad you stopped by.
It has been a long time since I have loved a fabric line as much as this one; I particularly love the cheddars (and more than one, at that!), and polka dots, stripes and plaids just hit this out of the park for me! Thanks for designing such a winner for us!
Oh Danna, thank you so very much for your kind words and enthusiasm for the line! So glad you stopped by!
All of the fabrics are beautiful however I love the pink and orange stripe.

Thank you Connie!
I like the greens, our grass is starting to turn green again after winter. This means I can start hanging out laundry again! So the greens are a reminder that spring and summer are on the way.
What a beautiful set of fabrics! I’m thinking the greens are my favorite, but those cheddars and blues are mighty appealing. I think I’ll be hanging around here for awhile to get to know you.
Thank you so much Lee and welcome. I hope you like my blog!
I do love the blues and greens but I think having the reds and oranges with them makes them even more scrumptious!
I found your site from Bonnie Hunter’s blog. I love all of the colors but the green stands out the most. And of course the white with prints! Love, love them all. Hope I win!
Second try I love the green and all of the rest!

I love the orange, and the blue, and um the green!! Just beautiful! Oh, Bonnie Hunter sent me over! Thanks for the chance to win such beautiful fabric!
Although red and purple are normally my favorite colors since they are “queenly” and I am a “queen of the stash” in training, I must say that lovely aqua is the one that caught my eye today. Such a lovely shade – must have some!
Looks like the ‘queen of stash” in training might be expanding the direction of her colour choices and therefore her stash! Thanks for stopping by Lola!
All the colors are bright and cheerful but the blue is my favorite. Thanks.
Congratulations, how exciting to have your own fabric line. They are all so pretty, and they just sing used with white! I like them all but I LOVE the greens.

Love those medallions, especially the green. So hard to find good greens
Thank you Marcia. So glad you like the greens and that you stopped by!
I love the greens. Reminds me of Spring when all of Nature starts coming back to life after being dormant for the Winter.
I love this line of fabrics. Thank you so much for the giveaway! I am really excited about the cheddar fabrics. This is a color I don’t use often enoug. I am buying cheddar this year and it really makes a difference in my scrap quilts.
I really love the browns and neutrals.
Congrats on your fabric line, and what wonderful rainbow of colors! I love the mint green, but that is so hard to pick just one. I would love if you would enter me in the drawing, too. Thank you for offering the drawing!
P.S. I just realized after looking at your blog closer, that I have your book, “Small Blocks, Stunning Quilts”, and it is one of my favorites! I am 100% a scrap quilter, and I love those small pieces that allow me to use every last scrap!
Oh Ronda, how kind of you to say. So glad you liked the book!
Green is my fave.
What a wonderful opportunity you have given us. I am all about the blues…..I automatically are drawn to them in the stores.I need to get out of my comfort zone and add some of your beautiful colours. Thanks for sharing with us.
The entire line is so fun and fresh but, since you asked for a favorite, I’m happy to see the cheddar/orange fabrics. Always hard to find ones that aren’t dulled down for primitive work. Oh , and just to be contrary, the greens are calling to me too. Thanks for the lovely line and your giveaway. Sally
Hi Sally, your post made me smile. Not all the colours back in that time period were dulled down. So glad you like this brighter cheddar.
All the fabrics are lovely but my favorites are the greens (but my stash could use some cheddar). Thanks,
Joye
I like all the colors but the cheddar really reaches out to me!
I love the aqua colors.
Beautiful line, really makes me feel like spring. Maybe it’s just the day, but I like the greens. They mix so well with the blues to complete the palette. Thank you for giving us a chance at the gorgeous fat quarters.
I love the greens but combined with the blues they remind me of sea glass. This is a wonderful first line. Congratulations!
Thank you Nicky!
The colors are all so pretty, but I love the greens the most.
OOOhhh, I love them all. The gold really sings to me though, very warm.
Thanks to Bonnie Hunter for talking about you on her blog and thank you for the opportunity to win your beautiful fabrics. My favorites are the greens!
I love all of the colors in this fabric line, but the blue and the yellow are my favorite, I thought I saw orange in the fat quarter bundle, but It didn’t show it in the circle. But if orange is in this group then the blue and orange would be my favorite. Glad you are feeling better, and just want to say this is a beautiful line. Love the quilts also. Thanks for the give away, and good luck to all that enter.
Hi Markay. Thank you for your kind words. And no you are not mistaken, that is cheddar in the line! So glad you stopped by.
Glad to hear you are better! Love the Bluish Purples and Purplish Blues!
Thank you Frederica. So glad you stopped by and that you like the blues!
I love the blues, but the neutral are great, also!
Lovely collection! The green sings spring to me. Thanks for the great giveaway and congrats on your new fabric line.
I love the Blues the most, but I really like them all!
What a beautiful line. I like the pinks best but those blues are so vibrant that it was a hard choice. Thanks for the opportunity to win these fat quarters.
Love it all, but today the aqua/turquoise really speaks to me. 🙂
Just love all the colors but I am partial to the pink.
Thanks for the opportunity
My favorite colors are the pinks and reds. Beautiful line of fabric.
Virginia
Blue for sure….looks like a Texas sky.
What a gorgeous collection! If I had to choose a color I would pick orange or maybe green . . . so difficult to pick between all the lovelies.
Love the rainbow of colors. Working on lots of scrappy stuff for leaders and enders. This would be a great addition to my stash.
Beautiful collection! I’m drawn to the blues but really love them all.
I love the blues … pink is my favorite, but loving on the blues here! Good job. And thank you.
Love the greens. But, they’re all beautiful; I can see that they’ll play good together 🙂
I love that lone red in the bundle because I can see it playing well with every other color in the collection. Just seeing those luscious prints together like that made me smile with anticipation. Thanks for the chance to win. BTW, I learned about your new fabric line on Bonnie Hunter’s blog.
They all make a beautiful collection, but I love the blues!!!
It is a beautiful line of fabric, but if I have to pick a favorite, I am drawn to the blues first. Thanks for the giveaway, it is truly appreciated.
You are welcome Diane!
Love the blues and the neutrals!! Drooling.
Love the blues and neutrals.
Hi Mary Elizabeth, I love all the colors, what a refreshing combination. It really looks like spring in a package. If I had to pick just one though I would go with the greens.
Thank you Laura, so glad you stopped by!
I’d have to say the orange/cheddar caught my eyes first. But as my leanings are ever toward the modern side these days those “lights” are what bouy a quilt up and hold it all together. Those are my favorite fabrics to buy; whether we call them low volume or traditional neutrals.
We need those lights, don’t we Laura! Thanks for stopping by.
this is such a pretty fabric line. I hope I win
All the colors are fresh and springlike and especially love the teal greens….reminds me of the 30’s green.
I would have to choose the blue, since it’s my favorite color. The greens would take second, but they are all great prints and colors!
Hard to choose – but I will say the teals, since teal and green are my favorite colors!
Hard to choose, but I love the teals
Hard to choose -but love the teals
I love that green–one of my favorite colors.
I love the blues. I use blue all the time but the greens and reds are pretty.
Your new line of fabric is beautiful. Love the colors but the one that is my favorite is the green. Thanks for such a generous giveaway!!
Thank you Linda for stopping by and for your very kind words.
Love the purples, but all are wonderful!
Firstly, thank you for your generosity in giving away these fat quarters. They are gorgeous! Congratulations on this beautiful line. I am drawn to the green fabrics – green, the color of spring. It is such a beautiful shade of green that you used. I love the Springtime pattern and can’t wait to see your other patterns. Again, thanks for the opportunity to win.
Thank you so much Gale for your very kind words. I am so glad you like the shade of green and that you stopped by!
Definitely the purple! Followed closely by cheddar.
This is such a pretty collection how can you choose just one color. But choose I must I have narrowed it down to the Cheddar and Blue. Cheddar because you are so right when you say it is a color I have very little of in my stash. Blue because it is my favorite color and trust me I have plenty of blues.
I love you new fabric line and wish you good luck for every success.
Hi Martha, I hear you on the blues! We laugh in our house that it is “the family colour”. Thanks so much for stopping by and for your very kind words.
Wow, what beautiful fabric! Congratulations!
Thank you Laura!
I love the blues but then blue is my favorite color. I can see this fabric line in a old fashioned favorite such as churn dash or bear paw!!
Wow, what beautiful fabrics! Congratulations! I could see me using this to make my only Granddaughter another quilt!
I really love both the oranges and the greens. However, I love the entire collection. Beautiful colors and designs!
REDS ARE WONDERFUL…YELLOWS NEXT
Blues and greens look awesome.
I love all the colors. But the cheddar is calling me today.
How does one choose between aqua and purple? Love all the fabrics!
I love your new line. It is a very happy looking line of fabrics. My favorite color would be the cheddar yellows. Thank you for the chance to win your fat-quarter bundle.
I’d love some of your Modern Country. So springy and fresh. Thanks for celebrating National Quilting Day with a Great Giveaway.
Thank you, and you are very welcome Mary! So glad you stopped by.
Oh how I love the white with the colorful flowers. Must be exciting to have your own fabric line.
Oh that lace darkish blue. So dreamy.
Bonnie sent me your way, I popped on over to take a look. Oh so pretty! My favorite colors are the pinks, and I’m really not that much of a pink girl, but they popped out to me! Lovely line! Good luck on this new endeavor!
Both the blue and the teal do it for me. The whole line looks fresh and cheerful. I would love to work with these fabrics. Congratulations!
Love the fabric line! Blues are my favorite, but also love the cheddar !!!! Thank you for the opportunity to win your beautiful fabric.
like the blue, but would like turquoise and purple, also.
Bonnie Hunter showed us your gorgeous fabric bundle on her blog today. I had to come and look! I like all the lovely “neutrals!” The little prints on white are so great. But I really agree with you about blenders. It is so hard to find them sometimes. I like your choices in geometrics as well as I make a lot of Project Linus boys quilts and the reds, oranges and blues with no flowers are so helpful. Thanks for sharing this with us. Congrats on your first line of fabric as well. K-
Thank you for your insightful comments and enthusiasm Kristy. So glad you dropped by!
How awesome to have your first new line of fabric. Congratulations! All the colors are wonderful. Green is usually not my favorite color when choosing fabric but your shades of green caught my eye and pulled me in!
Thank you Diane!
Beautiful collection! I love the minty green and the pretty gold/yellow. Would love to win! Thanks.
Love the mint green! MMMMMMMMM! 🙂
Thank you Marie!
Love, love, love cheddar!
love all the colours, but the blues are my favourites!
The blues are calling to me – especially the blue with black stripes. But the red one is great too! And I’m glad you added so many light ones to play off the colors. Great collection that I’d love to win! Hank you
Love all of them, but the green may be my favorite. It is a great collection!
I love the purples. They are such a nice soft color.
I hope it does well for you.
Your cheddar fabrics speak to me. They are all gorgeous, Congrats on your new fabric line,
Reds, blues, black and white, how do you pick a favorite from such pretty fabrics? I love what ever color I am working with when making a quilt.
All the colors are beautiful but especially the blues and greens. Thanks for the chance to win.
Love the fabrics, especially the bright oranges! Thanks for the chance.
I love them all, but the blue is my favorite. And a sweet spot for the white with the tiny hints of red in them!
The oranges segueing into the pinks (with that one that is both orange and pink!) really sing to me. The whole collection is lovely!
I love the bright crisp colors in your fabric line, but especially the greens!
The blue tatted fabric is singing to me! I actually crochet string doilies, so it’s nice to see a tribute to those of us who are crazy enough to work with string. Your fabric line is gorgeous and coordinated so beautifully. I know it’s going to be popular. Congratulations!
One favorite? That’s tough! Normally, green is my favorite color but today, I’m really drawn to those whites. All the fabrics are lovely.
I find the cheddar interesting. I have never used it before so I hope I win this giveaway. I love reproductions
My what a difficult decision to make; but, if I have to; guess it would be the greens/teals. Love them all.
These colors all blend nicely but if I had to pick one it would be pink. My 40th anniversary is coming soon and even back then I chose pink/cream for the wedding colors!
Such pretty colors it’s hard to choose, but I’m partial to blues and purples.
Loving the minty greens and the turmeric yellows!
Love the blue ,but the yellow and green are great too.
Love the pinks! (But the aqua is a very close second!) Thanks for the chance to win these lovelies!
I like the Whites with the little colors on it. I could use them with any color in my stash. Thank you for the give away
The spring blue fabrics are my favorite! Congratulations on your new line.
The ORANGE is my favorite in your fabric line!!! It’s SEW bright and cheerful. Thanks for the opportunity to win!!
The happy colors make me smile. Fabric is my therapy. I’ve needed it this week! I love the multi-colored flowers and mint green fabric, though I want them all!
Beautiful line! I’m always partial to the blue…
Blue is always my favorite, but I have to admit that the orange is quickly sneaking up. Watch out BLUE!
Congratulations! Can’t imagine the feeling. Truly can’t pick a favorite as you have blended a wonderful combination!!!
I love the blues — my favorite color! But then again, I really like the black & whites, too! Heck, they’re all gorgeous! 🙂
I’m so excited!! Beautiful fabric. Luv bundles,,, Good luck everyone!
Love the greens together with the yellows, daffodils and tulips =^} hope these could come home to me…. these colors remind me of my mum who loved spring flowers most of all.

What a great fabric line! I love the gold fabrics, but they are all wonderful. Thanks for the chance!

Beautiful line of fabrics, hard to pick a favorite but the cheddar/gold is speaking to me.
Love the blues and oranges. Thanks for the chance to win!
My favorites are usually red and orange, but I love those blues – they glow!
I love the whole pallette. The greens are my favorite. I need blues, since many friends like blue and I tend to not buy them. Thank-you so much for a chance to win them.
I like the cheddar the best But all are beautiful together. I love to make a bunch of little quilts from these fabrics!
I love your fabric collection… and the blues will always catch my eye!
If I have to choose just one, I will say the cheddar. It truly is a wonderful line. I can see myself using all of these. Thanks for sharing your talent.
Love the bundle of colors! My favs are blue & orange, blue being my most fav. Thanks for the giveaway! I hopped over from Quiltville’s blog. New to your blog, but I will be regular from now on!
The cheddars and browns are singing to me. What a great group of lovely colors! As a new reader, I am so inspired to read your blog. Thank you for sharing your fabrics with us. 🙂
Congrats on your first line of fabric. The colors are beautiful. I am a fan of them all, but cheddar wins. I am always looking for that perfect cheddar.
I’m a quilter; I’m a fabric fool for any color, it’s the same as loving the one you’re near!! I have always wanted to be Mary Elizabeth rather than Mary Agnes!!
Gotta be Cheddar!!!!! It’s never been my favorite color but today it is. Bonnie Hunter sent me over to say hi.
For me it is definitely the greens. Thanks for the chance to win.
I love the golds/yellows..
I love the blues! Going on with the mints, but the mixture is really diffrent from other lines.
Would love to win a bundle!
God bless you
I love the cheddar/0range color. And the variety of prints in all the colors especially anything that represents poke-dots. But the fabrics are all beautiful. Thank you
What a happy bundle of fabrics – they look so cheerful. I would go to blue…because they are calm.
I have a hard time choosing between the green and the blues, but will have to go for the blues for sure.
Hope that I will get the opportunity to work with your fabrics
My favorite color in the bundle is orange. Thanks for the chance to win.
Thanks
Annette Parsons
i think the seafoam greens and golds are wonderful! I’m also intrigued about the neutrals in the line – love the lively prints that don’t read as solid white. thanks for the chance!
I’ll see you in May at Grand Hotel – I got in your class! Cheddar always makes my heart melt! Great illusive colors.
See you in May Connie. Thanks for stopping by!
I have been drawn to rainbows lately but I do love the golds! What a wonderful line thanks for sharing!
I love, love, love the small prints, my favorite is the yellow dot.
Mary Elizabeth,
I just found your blog through a post by Bonnie Hunter. Cool fabrics. I’m always drawn to blue for colors, but I love all the colors that are in this line. It would be soooooo much fun to play with.
The cheddar is my favorite though the whole line is lovely.
Beautiful fabric line and I love all the colors, but the red is calling to me. I have been collecting reds for a quilt ever since I saw the photos of the New York collection.
Love the neutrals. Wait. No. The gold. No No, it’s the pink! Yes. The Pink is my favourite! Congratulations and thanks for the chance to win!
Lol. Thank you Shelley. So glad you stopped by.
I love the greens, they remind me of a lovely spring day when the grass and trees are turning green again.
They all look so inviting, but my favorite is the indigo.
The oranges are my favorite, but all are really fun.
Pink!! I’m a sucker for pink any place any time. phillip’s nanny.blogspot.com
While I am an “every color of the rainbow” scrappy gal, that mint green takes me back to the mid-60’s and a 4-H project! Lovely fabrics!
I love every color in this line, but those butterscotchy oranges are exactly what I need for a quilt for my daughter-in-law. I see a trip to the LQS in my immediate future!
Thank you for such a generous giveaway! Those Greens! Normally I am all about blues & purples, but not this time. They make me think of spring when you first notice the new leaves on the trees, the shoots of hostas and lilies coming up through the brown old ground. There was a Canadian interior decorator named Ray who always said you couldn’t go wrong with green- Nature’s backdrop/neutral. Everything pops and goes with green! 🙂
Great fabrics! Love your neutrals! As far as color goes, the blues are my favorite.
I love the fabrics! What fun to design a new line Congratulations!
I love the fabrics – congratulations on your new line!
I love the red and the pinks! The whole line could make a sweet Spring-y quilt!
My really like the greens in your fabric collection, it’s not a shade frequently seen, and I’d love to add bits and pieces of that green to several different quilts.
I love the greens
Thanks for the great giveway
The new collection is lovely and makes a beautiful modern/traditional quilt. Fun!
These fabrics are beautiful, Congrats on a promising career in design. I love the blues (as well the cheddar, the blacks and greens ) Glad to see plaid in there.
I love them all! The Reds are calling me.
The pinks seem to pop out to me, although I have never met a piece of fabric I didn’t like! We need all of the colors to have our variety. Thanks for the chance to win.
Those oranges really grabbed my attention!
I like the Green Fabric from you new range 🙂 but who am I kidding I like them all lol
I love them all! If I had to choose my favourites would be the cheddars. I took your pumpkin peel class at the Grand Rapids show last August and thoroughly enjoyed myself. You are a wonderful teacher! Helen
Warm, cozy spring line. I love it. The red one draws me–looks like a tatted daisy. Would love to win the bundle!
That is a lovely fabric bundle and I love all of the colors. It has a great selection of both low volume prints and saturates. It would make a lovely quilt or make any quilt lovelier! Thank you for the drawing opportunity.
sent over from Quiltville
Bright and beautiful! I have a wall of 1800 repro fabrics but would grap these in a minute, the greens first! Lovely for piecing and applique.

What a beautiful and sweet line of fabric. All the colors are pure and fantastic but I love the pinks the best. My aunt who we care for says vote for the blue which would be my second choice. This is a great line for the spring quilts coming soon. Adding your blog to my list to visit. Glad for designers like you that keep the beautiful fabrics coming. Thanks
Oh thank you Jan! So glad you stopped by!
I love the greens and blues..thank you!!!
Love, love, love interpretation of reproduction fabric! the best pink ever.
Sue
Your fabrics are all beautiful–I love to make multicolored scrappy quilts and always am in need of neutral, so the whites speak to me–also the red and the blue. Thanks for the chance to win your very generous give-away!
I am new to quilting and found your link via Bonnie Hunter’s web site that I have just discovered. I’ve just finished designing a wall panel that I want to applique and quilt of some Canada geese and your black and white fabrics would be ideal for that. I love the Ikat type one. Never entered a freebie comp before either!
Welcome to quilting Kat! So glad you stopped by!
Thank you, Mary Elizabeth, for the chance to win such beautiful colors to play with! I’m looking forward to seeing how the dark charcoal-brown accents the rest of the pretty colors! It’s my favorite!

Ooooo, blues and green are my favorite.
I love the greens and orange almost equally, great fabrics!
Love those blues! What a beautiful line of fabrics!
How I like the gold. It seems like a totally underused color among us quilters. I feel kin to modern country with my roots found in Kansas farmlands. Thanks for the giveaway.
Love them all but if I have to choose, the black and whites.
The neutrals are singing to me! Lead to your giveaway by Bonnie Hunter!
The greens are my favorite. Beautiful assortment.

Beautiful fabrics. My pick would be the blues but somehow, the greens speak to me also. Thanks for great giveaway.
I love them all, but my favorite has to be the purples. 🙂
Hello, its nice to find you 🙂 I do like your fabric designs…all of them……….but I think the prettiest colour is the teal/aqua.
My first thought was the cheddars, then the blues caught my eye. Next time I looked it was the backgrounds. If I keep looking each color will be my favorite. It’s a wonderful line, perfect spring colors. Thanks for the chance at your giveaway.
I love the blues!
Congratulations! This is a beautiful fabric line. My favorite color is the beautiful green and I love how beautifully these green stripes “play” with the rest of the group! Very best wishes!
I love LOVE the lighter blue. It reminds me of the flowers on my Moms casserole dishes. Makes me smile. Thanks.
Just found your blog and love all the colors of your fabric line, but for some reason the oranges jumped out at me. They are just gorgeous! Have a blesses day, and I will be back to visit your blog!
It’s really hard to pick a favorite color, it’s easier for me to pick my least favorite, orange.
Definitely the gold fabric. I always try to put a little gold in all my quilts. It seems to add a lot to any pattern. Would love to win your giveaway. Carol
Love the blues
Love the blues, but I’ll bet I’d have fun with the cheddars too! Thanks for the chance to win!
Pink because everything is better if you add pink according to my granddaughter.
Love your granddaughter’s thinking! So glad you stopped by!

The green fabric is my favorite. It is a beautiful shade of green (and usually I’m not a “green person”)!
I’m really drawn to the black/white … so crisp and reminds me of my Grandma’s kitchen 🙂
Thank you!!
Thank you for sharing the image that the fabrics have inspired for you. So glad you stopped by.
Spring green for me!
Of course, the sea mist green. A peaceful beach is the best place.
Oh My gracious! Congratulations on your new fabric and the wonderful quilts. I had to LOL on the black and white antique. I didn’t see the churn dash at all. I bet it sort of appeared like magic when you were drawing it up!! That’s awesome!

Hi Mary Elizabeth! I love your designs! I’d have to say the gold really speaks to me. It is a fantastic design batch, great job! I hope you are doing well and thank you for the opportunity!
What lovely fabric. Modern and classic all at the same time.
It’s really hard to choose as they are all so pretty. The blues strike out at me. Like your site and get to feeling better soon.

Love the greens
Love the fabric line. Reds are my favorites!
The blue fabrics are my favorite for sure. Blue has been my favorite color since I can remember.
Mary Elizabeth, I think my favorites are the pinkie shades. Your kitchen description is perfect for your fabric line.
Love them all, especially the green!
I love your new line. I have little repro fabrics in my stash. I quilt for a local hospice and am sure that any one of the bundles would work well with the other fabrics in my stash. Being in Canada we are limited to many of the fabric lines available in the US so it is unlikely I will see your fabrics in our local quilt store. I would have to pick the greens. It is such a calming colour, and we all need calm in these busy electronic based days.
Gorgeous fabric 😀
Love them all, as scrappy quilts are my favorite. I have recently started using more orange, so really liking those colors.
Thank you for your generous giveaway. I especially like the darker colors and am torn between the blues and cheddar. Thank you, as well for the free pattern download. I just may have to make this quilt!
I have to say I love the rainbow of colors – they all compliment one another. I lean towards red but the greens are speaking to me here. I love your new line of fabrics. And they are happy fabrics! They bring smiles! Have a great day! What a way to celebrate your healing!

Congrats on this beautiful line. You must be so very proud. I love red normally; but the cheddar just grabs me as it always does when I add it to a quilt, especially with red. So I say that my choice is cheddar.

They are all so lovely, how can I possibly pick just one. Beautiful!
Blue always. But they are all great colors.
They are all too pretty to choose!
Your fabric colors just stole my heart! As I am looking at the snow falling again, just days before Spring, I envision all that quilty beauty against the white scenery outdoors as well as in the Modern Farmhouse photos. Your prints and colors are a wonderful bridge between traditional and in your face brights. Love the softness and calmness they present.
Not sure what my favorite is these days but I see lots of red and gold around me these days but them, the Easter colors are so awesome too.

Love this collection. And I’ve lived in a farmhouse. I’m favorite color,if I can choose one from all,is the green as the spring greens remind me of the beginning of spring when the trees and lawns are just starting to green up.

My favorite color is cheddar! I particularly like the cheddar with the large white flowers/snowflake like design. A second fav is the greens-again, a beautiful color. But if not, I will definately get it later, asap.
