Twelve Quilts of Christmas – #2
DECEMBER 5, 2012
A Canadian entry into this twelve quilt celebration! This beauty used to be in the collection of a renown Canadian textile and antique collector. Sold at auction a few years ago, it’s new owner is thrilled with it I am sure. It makes my heart sing and it has so much movement.
Now this one had me running to my bookshelf. I could not find the block in Brackman, although it is very possible that I was staring right at it and didn’t see it. So I am throwing it out to all of you … does anyone know this pattern?
Happy Stitching!
Enjoy your selections. Keep it up.
Thanks Mary Ellen!
What an interesting pattern – sorry, can’t say that I’ve ever seen it.
It is a nice change from red & white –
I love blue and white quilts and was in awe of the red and whites that were hung at infinite variety … but these green and white just seem so fresh! Thanks for stopping by!
The blocks remind me of the pinwheels we made as kids. They actually look like double pinwheels! I have a couple of red and white quilts but have never seen green and white ones before.
They do remind one of pinwheels! Thanks Gail!
It would be very easy the call the pattern ‘Windmill’, as that is what it appears to be. But as you, I have never seen it before. I’m loving the green quilts. You don’t often see green and white. It is very refreshing.
“Windmill” is a tempting name. I am still looking for the pattern and coming up short!
