There is soooo much to look at in this quilt. Not only does this quilt have energy but so did it’s maker! I like the little white offset stars in the corner blocks.

Rebecca Davis expertly made wonderful use of stripes and prints to create whirling and twirling stars! The museum is fortunate to have two other wonderful quilts made by her.

If yesterday’s quilts was heart stopping this one is simply described as awe inspiring. Created by Albert Small, he worked on Mosaic for four years, sewing four hours a day, six days a week. The quilt continas a total of 123,300 hexagons. Six of the finished hexagons fit under a dime. Phew!
