My EQ software is my favorite tool. I love that I can create so many design options so quickly.

  163. Marie says...

Rotary cutter, for sure. Love my Martelli!

Love your block. Really want to try it. It is a happy block and makes me smile. My favorite tool has to be the rotary cutter and of course rulers. I love all of it and favorites change with different projects, but the rotary cutter wins out. A great invention for sure. Thanks for the opportunity to win Vol. 10. Got fingers crossed.

  165. Kathy says...

Wow! This is an amazing block! I don’t know how we ever got anything done without a rotary cutter–just the best tool.

  166. Betty says...

My favorite tool is the rotary cutter. I enjoy reading the other comments. Maybe I’ll try some of their favorites.

  167. Lynn Mc says...

A rotary cutter has to be top of my list, followed by the rulers – 24 x 6 1/2 and the 4 1/2 inch square. lynnmcindoe at gmail.com

TrueSharp Rotary Blade Sharpener. Keeps the blades very sharp!

  169. Melva Nolan says...

My husband made me a wooden presser to use when paper piecing. I don’t use a lot of specialty tools and rulers, and I don’t do a ton of paper piecing, but when I need it, I love it!

  170. Pat V. says...

I just can’t quilt without my Purple Thang!

My favorite tool would have to be my rotary cutter because it makes dealing with fabric so much easier. I love your block, and can’t wait to make some! Thanks so much!

My favorite quilting tool is my hand sewing needles. I’m learning English paper piecing, so my sewing needles have become my best friends.

  175. Laura B says...

I don’t know if I actually have a favourite quilting tool. Probably my rotary cutter.

  176. Emily C says...

I love the rotary cutter, because it makes cutting fabric so much faster than using scissors.

  177. Carol B. says...

My favorite quilting tool. There are a lot of them but number 1,2,and 3 are the rotary cutter, ruler, and mat.

  178. Geni Pickens says...

My rotary cutter because it saves time and provided accurate cutting. I’d be lost without it.

  179. DebV says...

Rotary cutter or ruler? Hard choice – either way I still have trouble with straight lines hahaha

  180. Anne Cowan says...

I have lots of different rulers, and they are all my favorites! I use all of them, too!

  181. Jennifer Johnston says...

Since I’m still a beginner, a sharp seam ripper is my favorite tool. Great block

  182. Audrey says...

A wonderful block. I look forward to playing with it. My newest favourite tool is a LocBloc ruler for trimming those itty bitty half square triangles. Just love it. Looks like it would get a workout on your block. Thanks for sharing and offering a giveaway.

  183. Jennifer Willard says...

I couldn’t do anything without my automatic needle threader on my sewing machine. Can’t see a darn thing that small. Then it would have to be the rotary cutter. Without it, there would be no straight edges. Very cute block.

  184. Sandy H says...

I love your block and it is on the to do list from 100 Block vol 10. So far no snow just rain for us, but it is cold rain. Seam rippers are my #1 tool and am guilty of collecting them.

  185. Carol Sc says...

After spending years tracing around cardboard templates and cutting with scissors, the trio of rotary cutter, thick rulers and a mat are my favorite tools — can’t separate them!

  186. Cathy DeWoody says...

Hard choice….its between my ott light or my rotary cutter. Its hard to use the cutter without the light. Both help me cut more accurate pieces for beautiful blocks like yours.

  187. carolyn says...

Favorite tool? Hands down it has to be my Perfect Circles templates. I love to do applique and couldn’t make circles without them!

  188. Darlene Contadino says...

My favorite quilting tool is a three in one seam riper that I got from Superior Threads. Love your block,

  189. Janet Ward says...

Love your block, it is so springy, the colors are so fresh. We had a bad ice storm here one year, and when I saw your pictures they were beautiful, but I couldn’t help but be thankful, my son works for a tree service, that he is the climber and saw man, & when the power companies call, his job is to go and cut the trees & clear the line paths so the power company can restore the lines. So he has to have warm quilts to come home to, and one to keep in his truck! Glad you were in safe & warm, dreaming of brighter warmer days! So my favorite tools are my surgical seam ripper, Live Guides by Kathy Ruddy & my Olfa lazy susan mat, and then last but not least my Quilter’s FabriCalc, my dream tool, as before figuring out yardage was a pain in the eye…

  190. Penny Prichard says...

I love my ergonomic rotary cutter. Not only is it comfortable to use, it is easier to be accurate and I can cleanly cut through more layers. Blades are easy to change.

Your block is wonderful. Hope you have your woolies handy and plentiful for this winter as well.

Thank you Penny for stopping by. I am wearing two scarves these days! It is a damp cold this winter.
